These are some lemonade Stations from our very own, A Catered Affair at Cj’s off the Square in Franklin, TN. We added garnishes such as mint, and fruit to make these drinks more festive!

So for this series of DIY bride blog posts, Legacy Farms is my inspiration. Every idea has this wonderful venue in mind and would work perfectly in the space. Even if you aren’t hosting an event with us here at Legacy, I encourage you to take some of these ideas and add a little Southern charm to your event!

We’ve all see those amazing whisket barrels in thrift stores or old barns. I just love the rustic look of these huge yet functional pieces of wood, but have never been able to think of a good enough use for them to deal with the hassel of transporting one.

Well, we’ve put our heads together and come up with several reasons to lug those big beautiful barrels home with you!

• 1-inch piece ginger root, peeled
• 1 large strip lemon rind
• 6 cups water
• 1/3 cup honey
• 1 lemon, juiced
• 4 camomile or other tea bags

Slice the ginger into coins. Heat the ginger, lemon rind, water and honey to a boil in small pot. Add lemon juice to hot water and transfer to a tea pot. Add tea bags to pot and steep. Remove bags and serve.

Mason jars have long since been a symbol of the South, and recently, they have become a very trendy item used in a variety of ways to add a bit of southern character to an event. I’ve found 5 inspiration photos to demonstrate ways to incorporate this trend into your event decor.

Drinking Glasses

This is the traditional way to utilize mason jars during receptions or Special Events. Having a keg? Skip the Pint and Pilsner glasses and opt for mason jars! Or serve a signature lemonade or cocktail in the vintage tumblers.

Lighting

 Whether dangling from wire allowing the glowing orbs of light sway in the wind, adding pops of color and light to a candle chandelier, or simply wrapped in raffia set atop tables in a centerpiece illuminating the smiles on your guests faces, the soft candle light through the glass of a mason jar creates the perfect ambient atmosphere for weddings.
